MyT'Mill
is a compact, light-weight (22" x 19" x 18", 40 lb) computer numerically
controlled (CNC) milling machine designed for use in wood, platics, or
soft metals. Steel and other hard metals can be machined with the
more powerful Pro CNC Conversion Kit option. With included handwheels
attached to the double-shafted drive motors, MyT'Mill can be operated manually
as well as under computer control.
The milling machine and accessories incorporate many features found only in the best production machines. For example, the headstock spindle utilizes lifetime lubricated bearings with adjustable pre-load for maximum stiffness. With the exception of the electronic speed control's plastic housing and protective belt guards (not shown), all parts are metal, precision machined with instrument quality finishes on all working parts. The slides are fully dovetailed with adjustable gibs to give precise adjustment and maximum rigidity. Machining accuracies of one thousandth of an inch can be easily obtained. Slide travel is 3" x 9" x 6" vertical. The model 5400 increases the 3" dimension to 5". The machine's base is made with mounting holes so that it can be permanently mounted to the work bench for even more rigidity and vibration free operation.
MyT'Mill is available in two models, the 5000 (5100 metric) and the 5400 (5410 metric). The English models have their feeds calibrated in 0.001" increments and the metric model is calibrated in 0.01 mm increments.
