Electrical System
MyT'Mill is equipped with a quiet, high torque DC spindle motor and three 140 oz-in (3.6VDC, 2A) stepper drive motors.  The DC motor and speed control supplied with the machine will run domestically or outside the U.S. without any change in motor or controller.  Speed range is from 70 to 3000 rpm.  The speed control is internally equipped with a converter that automatically adjusts between 100V to 240V, 50 to 60 Hz. without loss of torque.

The three-axis motion control driver, is limited to the 110 VAC, 60 Hz U.S. standard.  It can provide up to 6 amps of power at 11 volts and can drive all three motors simultaneously, if needed.  The power supply and a cooling fan are integral with the internal circuitry.  The box measures 7" x 7" x  4" has four rubber feet, a lighted on/off switch and weighs 5 pounds.  It plugs into your PC's printer port via an included 25 pin ribbon cable.  Round 6-pin DIN type connectors terminating the stepper motor cables plug into X, Y, and Z labeled sockets on the box's front panel.

There is also an option to upgrade to a faster, more powerful 3-Axis bipolar chopper driver.
